Opening Night- November 7, 2013

I promised to mix up today's blog... and I did not. Tomorrow! Tomorrow I'll do something special!!!

Though today was pretty special. It started off with my academic advisement appointment. We made a tentative course plan for my four years here, as well as decided what classes I should aim to enroll in next semester.

Remember how I said I was too ambitious? Yeah. In my course plan today, I discovered that if I attempt to do about 3/4 of everything I want to do at this school, I'll be taking 18 units every single semester and I still won't fit it all in. Looks like I need to prioritize what I really want to learn too..... I wish I could do everything!! I'll get it figured out though... Hopefully...

Anyways. Before and after my Text studies class, I was working furiously to finish my Spanish project.  I did eventually finish, 40 minutes before the class started. Still, hooray!!! I'm proud that I got it done.

Spanish class itself was really fun. My professor is going through so much in her personal life right now, and we can tell... I'll be praying for her. But still, it left her pretty out of it and very joking with us. We laughed throughout a lot of class :)

And then it was time to go to the theater!!!! Opening night!!!! Golly, I love the theater. I was dancing while I swept the stage... Even though it's just a little Oscar Wilde play, I'm having the time of my life in there. I hope I'm learning something. If anything, I'm learning how much I love being in the theater.

The show itself went really well!! I think the audience liked it a lot, and the acting and transitions and everything was pretty smooth! My favorite part of the play is in Act 3. Specifically, the conversation between the gentlemen. It makes me laugh, and has some of my favorite lines.

Since the show ended, I've been getting stuff done around the dorm room, and now I'm hanging out with Jessie, Sneha, Kate, and Jinny. We're having our own little karaoke night in here, except we're all singing together, and my throat is not happy, but I'm having fun :) I need to go to sleep pretty soon here, but that's ok.

Today was fantastic. Utterly fantastic. I love opening night!!!! I'm excited for the rest of the run this weekend too :)

Fight on, friends.
